Hello, Crochet Designers! We are excited to announce our design call for SPRING 2024 crochet designs! Read on for more info, and be sure to sign up for our Crochet Designers Email List to get all the latest news for designers.
This is a call for CROCHET patterns for Crochet Foundry online magazine Spring 2024. We are a size-inclusive crochet magazine with a focus on garments in sizes XS-5X.
Type of pattern: CROCHET only
We are currently looking for submissions in the following themes:
- Flower Festival (Bohemian, flowy, floral)
- Capsule Wardrobe (Everyday basics)
- Yarn Yeehaw (Country/Western inspired)

Deadline: Sunday, July 9th, 2023.
When will you hear if your submission is accepted? We will start to notify people around August 1, 2023. You will have about 12 weeks to create your pattern and sample.
Compensation/Support: Range: $50-600 depending on complexity + a Furls crochet hook
Yarn Support: We provide
Tech Editing: We provide
Photography: We provide
Charts/Schematics: We will have yours professionally drawn for design consistency
Testing: You provide
Types of crochet patterns for this call: size-inclusive adult garments, accessories, home decor, gifts, or crafts embellished with crochet. See full design call document for more details.
Rights: Company will have exclusive rights to distribute the pattern for 90 days. After 90 days of the issue release, both the Company and the Designer will share rights to distribute the pattern into perpetuity at their own discretion.
Submission Requirements:
- Must be your original work, NEVER having been published or shown anywhere else
- Garments must be in 9 sizes (XS-5X)
- Sizing must follow Craft Yarn Council Guidelines
Contract requirements include, but not limited to: provide a full, tested pattern and necessary information with sample by due date, provide photos of product and project as being made, send out newsletters and social media postings announcing release, be available for pattern support.
